I did this drawing a while ago but I recognized the person I drew the last time I was in this Bar, I introduced myself so now I have a name for him. The Bar is one known to me as Vazac's and it's on 7th and B. I'll have more to say about this place later but for now Neil is sketch of the day.

Beautiful beautiful sketch! I also visited your website and was most impressed. I love your work and I have to say that I'm happy you live in Brooklyn. I interned with Brett Helquist, who (you probably know) lives in Brooklyn and currently it's one of my dream places to live.
Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!!
Dude! I've been loving your work lately. And been mighty envious of the amount of time you appear to be spending in bars....
Wow Stephen, Neil is wonderful. Okay I don't know the guy, your sketch of him is wonderful. I'm sure you mentioned it before somewhere in your prolific and treasure filled blog but what kind of pen(s) do you use , asks the fledgling to her revered and awesome sketch master.
Isn't fun to look at your work and recognize people? My son loves looking at my high school sketches and seeing recognizable younger versions of some of my current friends. Also, I love looking back and remembering people, times, and events. Even seeing how much you have developed as an artist is great.
You did a fabulous job on Neil. I am thoroughly enjoying your sketches, and the stories, when you include them. I too went to your site and was gobsmacked at how amazing your work is. Wow.What talent!!!
Thanks for sharing these images on your blog.
Hi everyone. My name is Larry, and I'm an... illustrator.
Nice drawing Steve ; ^ )
Meridith- thanks for checking in, I didn't know that Brett Helquist was a Brooklynite but I strongly recommend it to anybody, if you are ever in town let me know.
Hans- Angie wasn't too impressed with the amount of time I spent in a bar on Monday.
Sheila- thanks so much and the pens I use for all these drawings are Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens which you can pick up anywhere. I like the way they move really quick across paper.
Ana- thanks again, it really is fun when you start to recognize the people you have drawn.
Larry- great to hear from you, still no joy with leaving you a comment, I tried again this morning.
Hey Larry, I just got it, nice one!
