I did this yesterday on the train and Angie says it looks nothing like her. It's not a strong likeness but I can see enough of her in it to make me smile.

This was a quick sketch of Angie and Gil's on the way into the city last weekend to visit the high line. Not the best likeness of either but it was hard to manage that in the short time I had. Excuses excuses.

Nice one Hans, Actually the none in this case refers to Angie who is never a none in my book. Angie didn't think this looked much like her but I think it's better than the last one I did. Sketch of the day. Chad, I'm going to have to to work on "four on the six", that's a lot of drawing.

World Cup final 2006

To keep yesterdays theme going, here's my world Cup Final experience. We were in the Hop Devil in the East Village surrounded by French and Italians. That's Angie in the bottom left. I've been in New York for every World Cup since 1990 and it's always some version of the above. There might have been a couple of Americans in the bar but that's about it.

Book Worm

Angie is on a roll with the reading at the moment, when she's not reading she's painting and has just finished a portrait of one of our cats, Molly. is the book I bought Angie for Christmas, she really enjoyed it and finished it already. You should go to Barnes and Noble and buy it, it's written by Stewart O'Nan.
