Queen Mary 2

I was on my way home from Fairways yesterday when I noticed this massive ship moored in Red Hook. It was towering over the houses and I had to find a place to sit and sketch it. That's down town Manhattan to the left.

That's another great sketch. You're very lucky to see such things on a daily basis. All I see are sheep - and rain. LOL

This is beautiful! Love the unusual juxtaposition.

My brother sailed transatlantic on the QM2 last year for his 45th birthday. He should've brought a sketch book. Love the teeny cranes. Gillian, I'm with you but its mostly cows here in Devon.

Dang Stephen, you're like the energizer bunny! I had to go back a week I think to catch up. I really like the Game boy guy and the whalen sketches. This grand ol' dame is quite a looker too.

Thanks everyone, this opportunity really came as a surprise, that's why I never leave home without a sketch book.

You may not have noticed Steve; you have got really quite good at this.

Did ya get inside?

Thanks Fraser, getting inside, now that would be the trick.

Great sketch of a great ship. I crossed the Atlantic on it a few weeks ago. Being a sketcher myself, I brought my sketchbook, but was too distracted by the onboard entertainment and delicious food to sketch anything.
