Newspaper and a cocktail...the perfect yin and yang.
Nice drawing Steve.

A very expressive sketch. He looks like everybody's bank manager - or how they used to look - they're getting younger. Or am I just getting older?
What media did you use please?

I wonder if he's out of work and hasn't yet got used to not putting on a suit in the morning.

Looks like the bar staff are all expecting him to explode or something. I always love drawings where you can imagine what the people are thinking. Dude!

Does he look like Mr. Burns out of "The Simpsons", perhaps the bar staff are discussing that.

Larry, liquid lunch, whilst being a British staple seems much frowned upon in the USA.

Gillian, thanks, this drawing was done with Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens and brush pens, available in all art stores.

Fraser, he is a dude I've drawn before, I'll post a couple of others today and He does look like Mister Burns now you mention it.

Hans, they were the wait staff waiting for their first lunch customers, were were drinking early that day.

Stephen,
You're right, When Donna I were in London, we would try to guess how many of the Pub patrons were going back to work. I'm amazed anything gets done in the afternoon the way the British throw it back at lunch.

I used to love those lunches, if you were drinking with the boss sometimes you didn't go back at all.

When you were going to pop by for lunch Steve, I didn't bother working in the morning either, no point. Loved it, I think.
