Pete's Tavern

This is a drawing of a drawing. I'm still working on the book and in an effort to keep the images consistent I redrew this sketch with color. To see the original click HERE.

Love her bag...you were probably trustworthy looking to her if she kept it open and on your side.

Don't lose your mind before I get to you! Lunch at the society will keep it with you ;o) By the way, absolutely loving the Red Hook sketches. And i don't care if it was the same water towers the other day...although, I'd like to point out, you live in Brooklyn and there is many a water tower to be had! ;o)

I have to say, it is fascinating observing your sketches. Thank you for posting the original sketch here as well, as I am keying in on various details-- the thickness of the beer glass down the bar there, the shoulder definition of the lady on the color sketch, the deeper contrast of the shadows, etc. It's really an education just observing your work.

Sheila, now I wish I hadn't stolen her purse.

DM, thanks, it's certainly a scene I've become familiar with.

Gillian, I'll have just enough mind left to drink away over lunch with you.

Rob, thanks, I'm blushing.
