South Bank

This is the end of my South Bank Show, I sat outside the Tate Modern and drew this view of St Paul's Cathedral, the odd bit on the right hand side is the Millenium foot bridge. After this sketch I walked back to Charing Cross station grabbed another quick pint and went home. It was a fine day along the Thames, if ever you get to London I recommend that walk.

I'm curious about your sketching materials. Just watercolor?

Hi Elizabeth, I do use watercolor but the drawing is all done in ink with a ruling pen, this particular drawing doesn't have any watercolor but I have a water brush that I use for washes. Thanks for your interest, I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have.

Ahh, the end of the show? The cathedral is one of the best and appropriate for the finale. Thank you Stephen. I'm standing and giving you a virtual ovation.
