The London Eye.

Here I am in London. I don't know what I was thinking when I attempted to draw this thing on no sleep and two pints of London Pride, sometimes that's what it is with drawing, not so much the end result as the memory you give yourself because of making the attempt. This is my first overseas posting and I'll be able to keep it up because my sister Karen has WiFi. I'll have another crack at the London Eye at some point but most of the drawing is probably going to be done in Canterbury which is a really beautiful city. Stay tuned good people of the World.

You make me feel really ashamed, I have been in London for the past 10 years and I haven't sketched that beautiful thing and here you come to immortalize it! You have challenged me to do some Landmark London this month!

Great stuff!

I had to laugh when I read the "Two pints of London Pride," in your entry. I seem to remember doing the very same thing when I flew over there. I can't wait to see what you draw, a red double decker bus would be cool.

This is Gillian masquerading as Iain (can't remember my login password hence no comments from me of late!) I was in London yesterday! If only I'd known - I had 4 hours to kill in Victoria. Ships in the night... Hope you're well. Give our love to P&B. And Ange - you and I due big catch up!

House of Parliament tomorrow? Only kidding, you've earned another pint and a day of rest. Glad you made it safely.

London Pride? Lucky sod. I could murder a decent pint of bitter. Oh well, back to my Michelob Lite, or whatever the gnat's piss they serve over here is called. If you're still in London next weekend (21st) you can catch QPR at home.

Always drink London Pride when down there! Not down in London for a couple of weeks otherwise I'd buy you one! Love the post, can't wait to see what you come up with - lots of bars to challenge you!

Hey thanks for checking in everybody, I'm hoping to do so much more it's been a little crazy so far.

Adebanji, when I come back to London these days I'm a tourist, I'll probably draw a phone box tomorrow.

Memi, I hope to have more to show.

Cubist, You can't beat a real ale and London pride is a favorite.

Iain, great to hear from you I'm back on the 24th

Gills, I was around and can't believe we missed the chance for a drink.

Larry, I could see the Houses of Parliament from where I sat, it's on my list.

Hey Angie, wish you were here.

Isabel, sepia, my ink of choice.

Ed, QPR? I think I'll save my money for more London Pride.

Stephen, next time I'll take that pint for sure.

Thought you'd be interested to know that this drawing was pinned up all over my school's critique space this morning. I'd asked students to pull "inspiration images" from which they could learn techniques to incorporate into their own work. Your drawings were quite popular!
