I got stuck on the subway yesterday after an unfortunate incident at Franklin Ave in Brooklyn, I don't know exactly what happened but I did have a little more time than usual on this sketch. It's an ill wind, as they say.
I just found your site through Suzanne Cabrera's blog roll. Count me as an instant fan. I'm especially envious of your skill and derring doing fab bar sketches.
Only just saw this as I was clicking around. Really nice Steve, were you up on a luggage rack (there aren't any are there?) I love your sketches. I agree with Rob.

This is such a great drawing, Steve. It's a good thing the subway got held up -- you certainly got a gem out of the ordeal!
Very nice one. Glad you got a longer time in the subway.
Great piece, Stephen- love the details- always nice to have the opportunity like this to take your time.
You used your time wisely. How did you get such an interesting angle? Have you been hovering over people with your sketchbook again?
I loooooooooooooooooove this Stephen! Especially how you rendered his hair.
Thanks all, the great thing about sketching is that i used to hate waiting and now it's just another opportunity.
lovely perspective and use of line. You Rock (as usual!)
hugs
