Callicoon

This was a real quickie, I don't think I even had 10 minutes on this one and you can see by it's nature that it was rather rushed. Better than nothing though and sketch of the day. I've got some ideas for the weekend so stay tuned.

Steve - I love this, very much like the stuff you were doing couple years ago on our road trip. But we need more water towers....;o)

Water towers coming right up, how is your leg doing? We were up at Bill's again at the weekend and it gets harder and harder to leave. We caught fish in the lake.

Wow... Quick Draw McGraw! Speed sketching should be an olympic sport and you'd be the gold medalist.

Hm...what can I really say about 10-minute sketch that was nonetheless crafted so beautifully? There's nothing that's really out of balance to me - you probably already know which parts are rushed, and hence, uneven/"squiggly" (i.e., some of the front supports on the porch, the last support for the side stairway, etc.). The flag is a little uneven, but who cares - it's a very well-crafted drawing done in 10 minutes. The shadow on the left front face was a nice touch, too - nice!

Sheila- I wish it was an Olympic sport it would be my only athletic claim.

Spider- I appreciate you critic, thanks for taking the time.

sometimes when I'm pushed for time I won't allow myself to attempt a drawing but I'm always glad when I do.

Would love to see that 5 minutes, and how you went about such a quick sketch! Again, amazing work.
