Sidewalk

about an hour after I started yesterdays drawing the place starts to fill up with people catching that last bit of happy hour on their way home from work. At 8pm they usually have some live music in the back but since that marks the end of the two for one action it's my cue to leave. Ten years ago that would have meant heading to Vazac's if I still had enough cash left.

I especially like the way you render shadow areas.

I like the way the back-lighting silhouettes the woman's head!

Dude, great to see the old Sidewalk bar again! It was the first place you took us to when we came to NY for the first time in '94. Whether you had any direction or ambition or cash, you were always your usual old self on the surface. Me and Janine did happy hour when waiting for a taxi to JFK, and had to do a runner as we'd run out of cash. Ahhhh.... those were the days!

I love the sense of conversation that is so palpable between these patrons.
Nice one!

Your ability to consistently use outstanding darks and lights along with your eye for color really accentuate your drawing skills. Your figures are superb.
