This is a drawing from 2005 and I had to post it because of it's subjects. This couple came in almost everyday for happy hour, he would drink the "cheeky" house red and she the white. Seldom a word would pass between them.
yeah..... this is what I think of when I envision "Happy Hour". I wonder if this is their version of 'happy' what happens when they're having a bad day.
Your subway subjects seem exciting compared to this "action" couple. You were good back in 2005 but we all see how you have gotten even better! Are you drinking more? or less these days? and does that have influence on your paintings?....just call me inquisitive emikk!
Sheila- I often wondered about those two, maybe they used to wonder about me.
Kuma- Thanks for stopping by, color is something I'm working on right now.
Emikk. I always order a pint before I take out my sketch book. I call it the price of admission, do from time to time get a little carried away. After a couple of drinks the drawing gets freer, it doesn't always get better.

Talking will just remind them of their reality and defeat the purpose of their being there.
On the bright side - Nice Drawing.
So True Larry, so terribly true.

your sketches & their presentation with color schemes make it really unique
