Great title. One of the things I like about sketching is I always have something to do. Walking around on Sunday with Angie, she suddenly decides to get a pedicure leaving me a chance to sit a get a sketch in. Your never alone with a sketch book.
I see it as a great opus. The balustrade representing the old world and it's traditions, close to your heart but looking to the future. The pickup truck, the hopes and dreams of the new world, so filled with bravado, the air conditioned gypsy, without a care in the world. and finally the steel roll doors, a metaphor for how our the search for utopia is so often met with impenetrable obstacles....but truck works too.
I think it represents the blending of eastern and western philosophy, beautifully rendered in a yin-yang sort of way....the man of Tao may just be a piece of protoplasm on the edge of an insignificant galaxy but armed with a sketchpad while the wife is getting her nails done can truly produce something profound as you, Stephen, have just showed the cosmos!
WOW guys, I shall put a little more thought into these titles from now on, I really enjoyed reading these comments and thanks for spending the time. I think Larry and Emikk spent more time in thought than I did in sketch.

Damn Larry, that's EXACTLY what I was going to say.
I disagree... I thing "stair post" would be a better title. Good sketch either way.

Thanks again
That's right -- you're never alone with a sketchbook. Boy, you really nail your vehicles too. Sweet.
