Helicopter

This was another crime of opportunity, nobody was expecting to see this helicopter when it landed opposite Bill and Lola's house on Sunday but when it did I grabbed my sketch book and had a go. The photo shows Martin the pilot giving a preflight check before taking off again. Doubt I'll be drawing another helicopter anytime soon.

Double snaps for the over the shoulder photo of you and the chopper and the finished sketch. Big "props" for you to grab such a unique opportunity!

A good as any reason to carry your sketchbook everywhere you go. I love the before-and-after photo and drawing.

Nice chopper Steve, and interestingly you'd started drawing about 10 minutes before the photo was taken, judging by how much the shadow of the rotor blade has moved.

Sheila, thanks for the double snaps, you'll never know how much I need them.

Jane, thanks, I would have been good to photograph the drawing in stages, I'll try that sometime.

Hans, yes about ten minutes in I'd
say. Good work Holmes.

Emikk, no but that's another good idea.

Pyra, Martin said he's take us for a ride next time, I'll keep you posted.
