I call most all of the subway drawings "Dude" or "Dudette" but this guy is definitely "The Dude". Just look at him and revel in his total dudeness, ladies and gentlemen we have a winner.
Scary dude, you may not have got off the underground in one piece! By the way, I watched a cookery programme about restaurants and bars in New York, your work is amazing - it was like watching a moving history of your work!
Great drawing- great portrait. Do you try to avoid being noticed as you draw on the subway? If so how do you do that? What happens if someone notices and objects?
Roderik, I always try to draw without being noticed which is way most of my subjects are reading or sleeping, only a couple of times in 4 has anyone objected and that was just a simple case of putting the sketchbook away.
