Rat

Thanks for the input yesterday, I went with version "B" and painted up this comp. I'm not entirely there yet but this is the level of doom and gloom I was going for. I'm really try to learn this whole color thing at the moment because it will be the difference between success and failure on this one. I still want to hear from you but then I always do.

I like the rats nose up like this, likes it's curiously sniffing the air.

Thanks Larry, I drew this one a bit quickly but I think that aspect seem to work.

It's a really good work! It's interesting to follow each step of your creative process, it's very instructive for me! Thank you!

I like the whole thing but especially his wet fur, like he just swam through something nasty!

Thanks Fraser, I agree with you too.

I agree that you've managed to combine the best of both images. One thing I liked about the earlier versions is that there appeared to be a blueish mist in the middle ground which knocked it back a bit and gave a greater sense of depth. This element hasn't made it through to the final version which is a shame. But then again, what do I know...

Thanks everyone, I take all your comment seriously and they will all be considered for the final version.

Hey Steve, you know plenty.

Very good final work. I did like the A version and now it is so well improved.

This isn't the final, I'm working on that right now, but thanks Dominique.

Hey Steve. I like this palette so much I'm going to borrow it. You're kickin' down some good stuff here, sir—Keep it up!

Jeff, I'm delighted, I'm really trying to figure this color thing out at the moment so I'd be real curious to see what you did with it.
