Book Cover

This is what I'm calling the finished painting for the book cover, I had posted the rough HERE back in July. Now it's up to the art director's approval.

Dude! It would take me a month of Sundays to do this. I don't know how you churn these out so quickly.

Talk about detail, I zoomed in on the paper clips, they're almost a finished illustration in and of themselves!

Nice Job, Steve.

Another lesson for us all in textures and perspectives-
I hope that in true AD form, they don not obliterate your painting with typography...

This job was fun to do, I set up the scene in our vacation house (rental) so I got all the reference I needed from every angle. i did the sketches from the live set up which made it all the more enjoyable. They didn't want a dead body in this one, oddly enough.

This went out to the AD on Tuesday and I haven't heard a peep. No news is good news, since you never get a call to tell you they liked it, you only hear if they are unhappy and want a change. And so it goes.
