Venice Beach

This is probably my favorite drawing of the trip, tomorrow I'll post my least favorite in the attempt at full disclosure. Venice beach is like the east village only on the beach and with good weather. Crazy people doing crazy things.

Love this one Steve. Really nice work. I can almost smell the Piz Buin and burgers.

Thanks Steve, did you ever get out there? What's Piz Buin? have I be gone too long to remember that one?

Great one, love the line and color work. Makes me want to leave Iowa for Venice Beach...almost -- I've been there before.

I agree with everyone.

I was real happy with this one, I'm working a a larger sketchbook for a while now and although the drawings take more time they are worth the effort to me.

Steve, sadly I have never got beyond NYC with my trips to the States. Even my kids have been to LA but not me...yet.

Piz Buin is a brand of sun oil, named after a mountain in the Swiss/Austrian Alps. Strangely enough I am going there in a couple of months so hopefully will see it for myself.

Even more strangely my word verification for this post was 'flexishl'. Considering the Flexitoy connection, I find that kinda spooky.

Hey Steve, thanks for the clarification. I always liked the Flexitoys name. Now I've got "The Room At The Top" stuck in my head.

Enjoying catching up and this is a great sketch of Venice Beach. It's always fun to make a trip in from the suburbs to go there, but I don't do it often.
