Here I am again in the Old Town Bar, drawing the till....again. I was sat next to Jesse Winter who was professional photographer having lunch. He took a series of shots of me a couple of which you have just seen. Thanks Jesse, nice to have met you. You got to love hanging in that place.

I Have A Problem

Another till already! I found myself in the city yesterday waiting for Angie who had to work on Sunday so what was I supposed to do added to the fact that my drawing instructor Melanie had suggested I do a graphite till as a challenge. Hey Melanie, this one's for you.

First Till of 2009

This drawing was abandoned when the person I was meeting showed up. I don't worry about such things because of my tendency to overwork everything. I thought about working back into it a bit but there will be other till drawings to come and no doubt I'll be overworking a great many of them.

I'm Shameless

"Another till!" I hear you scream, yes but a till with a difference. for a start I drew this with pens and also it's a detail for a larger drawing so you have that to look forward to (we can't wait).It's all part of my master plan.

Oh Yes I Did!

Did you think it was too soon for me to lay another "Old Town" till on you? You can't keep a good till down my friends and for those of you who haven't seen my previous till drawings click HERE. This is actually the 10th till I've posted although I've drawn way more than that.

Posting 500

Is it too soon to lay another till on you? Clearly I don't think so. Hit the label Till to see all the others. Crazy times at the moment, I'm working on another Rasholinkov drawing today. And this is my 500th posting, on the 1000th.

Old Town Till

I have had a lot of E-mails lately from people asking to see another till drawing. Actually, I've had no such E-mails and quite likely never will but I went ahead and drew another Old Town Till anyway. I can't be stopped.

I have simply lost count of the times I've drawn this till, regular visitors to this site might be rolling there eyes right now, but it is a compelling piece of still life and I'm not done with it yet. This version is loose and free and I like it. Click Here to see some previous drawings

2nd Till of the Year

And many more to come. There are two such tills in the Old Town Bar and both are just perfect still life set ups with that low light that you get in there. If I could get a nude lady to stand next to one of these tills in a subway car I'd just about have it all in one. Any offers?

First Till of the Year

regular visitors to this site may know this is one of my favourite subjects. This is one of the tills at the Old Town Bar, I used my ruling pen again just to see where I was at. This is a great still life subject in a great bar with a great pint by my side.
I'm sure I'll be doing yet another drawing of this till very soon, next time in graphite. I guess this is one of my standards.

Old Town Till no 5

I havent drawn this till for a while and I like to come back to this subject every now and again to see if I 've learned anything. What i learned on this occasion is that the paper quality in Moleskine sketchbooks is in rapid decline. Time for a change.
