The book cover on the right was commissioned by Harlequin in 2004 the one on the left I discovered in a bookshop and was published by the same company in 2010. I thought I had another check coming my way but apparently this is how they do business these days. They removed my signature for the second version, which I think was a nice touch. And so it goes.

Alternate Side Of The Street Parking

This is one of my true joys in life, a joy which is enhanced greatly by the odd parking ticket. I was lucky enough to get one last week for being just 5 minutes late. I was smiling all day about that. The city makes approximately $1,000,000 a day from parking tickets so I really feel grateful at being given the chance to throw some cash into the mix, it's all for a good cause.

For such is her name. My sister in law to be more precise. Topical news item, Trees and family should have been back in Scotland as of today but for a silly volcano in Iceland. April 30th is the best the airlines can promise, it's and ill wind as they say, Angie hasn't stopped smiling.

Katie and I have a go at the bicycle that came along with her Moxie doll. It's raining today but Yesterday we went to look at "Olana", the house that Frederic Church built on the Hudson river.

I've had the flu which my in-laws were kind enough to bring over from Scotland for me, I asked for a bottle of scotch but the flu was a nice alternative. In short, I haven't been drawing much so here is a old sketch from a life drawing class. I'm feeling a little better today so I'll attempt something today even if it's just a box of Kleenex.

I missed posting yesterday because we were driving up to Niagara, I haven't had the chance to draw much but last night I draw Katie on a napkin at the Hard Rock Cafe and she, in turn drew me. Nice.
