Here is my final rough for this painting, I started the painting yesterday and I've made a couple of minor changes already. More soon.

Finished Sketch

Ladies

i didn't want to take the subway yesterday but I did and this is what happened.

Khan

Part of my past came through the mail yesterday morning in the form of the card. A collector wants me to sign this and a few other cards for him, I can barely remember doing this painting I think I did maybe 7 in this series because i do remember telling people in my acting class that I'd just signed a 7 picture deal with Paramount. I was kind of true.

Another Step

Getting a little closer now but still some things to resolve. I'm looking at the work of Coby Whitmore who was prolific at the time that Mad Men was set, also Bernie Fuchs and Bob Peak.

I'm working on sketches for a larger painting, here is my first step. I'm trying to show Pepe at work in a crowded McSorley's. This is going to take a while but I'm looking forward to it.

White Horse Tavern

I was going to post another Pepe and indeed I have a few more to show you but I thought I would break it up a little with this unfinished painting of the White Horse Tavern. It's another image for the book of course. I had some internet issues yesterday which is why I didn't post but I trust you all enjoyed a wonderful Sunday, I certainly did.

I'm not calling this one finished but it has the right mood. I'm always over working to the point of sucking the life out of something but this does need a little more work.

The Return of Pepe

I'm working on the bar book and this is the finish I'm now thinking of for the book. I've been working with Steve Brodner on this project and he is injecting new live into it.

Plein Air Painting

Had another session with Peter Cusack and some of my FIT MFA colleges. Also Pete's partner Mel came with us to paint and took this shot of me packing up. We had a great few hours painting and then went to Frankin Park and had another great few hours.
