Chumley's

This is another great New York City former speakeasy bar. Currently out of commision because the fire place collapsed and it needs major renovations but this is a great place for a pint. It's hard to find, I like to take first timers through the court yard entrance because you'd never guess there was a bar there at all but once you open the door it's like stepping back in time. Lot's of history here, hope it makes a comeback.

Hey Dude, is that where we had breakfast a few years ago? You took me to a place that was really hard to find... We had bad hang-overs. I've had some of my worst in New York, funny that.... I remember the interior being much darker than your sketch, but I might have kept my shades on because I was in no shape to deal with bright light. Bloody lovely drawing, I want that one too.

This is indeed the place, one of my favourites. I've got a drawing coming your way, next time I get to the post office.

Ira, it's Bedford and Barrow in the west village, we'll go for a pint some time, great place to draw.

Mum, Dad, you too.

Oh, such a nice, cozy feeling. I can see sitting with a pint and a good friend for hours and hours.

I hope it opens again soon.

Your drawing, color and layout in this art is outstanding. Your drawings of people are very good. Keep posting.
