This is a watercolor I did whilst sat on the porch of our favorite house upstate. We visit this place when ever we can and I love to sit on the porch and stare off into the distance. This is my first attempt at a pure watercolor painting in a big moleskine watercolor pad, it's about 23 inches wide.

Dear Stephen,
Thank you for visiting my blog! "58.4cm" wide paper...wow! That'll be fun. 'd love to see the outcome.
Cheers, wink, wink,

WOW! This captures the "outdoors" feel and is simple but has enough detail to be realistic and not too impressionistic!
wunderschön !!!!
viele Grüße Werner
Lush loose watercolour dude, wish I could emulate.
Just beautiful!
You just saved me a trip upstate. It's relaxing just looking at this painting.
this is gorgeous!! your colors are SO alive! great piece Stephen!
Beautiful! I like the sense of perspective and the pleasant colours of the trees.
23 is my lucky number and a good format for your watercolors! I'm really enjoying going through your blog. Keep up the nice work!
Thanks everyone, I could paint this one over and over.
You should take a high res scan of this and post it. It'd make a good iPad wallpaper.
