Im Back

Sarah Step By Step
I built up the values pretty quickly here, I was trying to preserve the cool to warm/blue to orange and keep things loose, I was trying to choose my hard and soft edges and keep a sense of spontaneity. I've been often accused of missing some good stopping places, but when I'm enjoying a painting it can be very hard to stop.
This painting will be on display at the Society of Illustrators from June 9th-August 15th. Or join me for the opening on June 17th.

Color Comp
This is my idea for color, I'm looking to create a cool to warm shift based on a complimentary color palette, blue to orange.

Louis CK Demo
Here are 5 steps for this latest demo, the issue with these demos tends to be not to over do them in terms of finish, keep them loose, move them quick. it's a question of sorting out the major values and working the whole painting up at the same time.

This Is Also Rachael
A second study for a painting I'm working on. The general opinion seems to be the head from the first one on the body of this one. Any thoughts?

Clive Owen Demo
Here we go again, loose transparent washes over a tight pencil drawing, building up the values bit by bit and finishing with a little opaque color for the final detail.
