This is a portrait I did for a friend of mine who recently lost his dog. I knew and loved the dog so i was very happy to be asked to do this.

John Snow

Here is a four step breakdown of a demo I started at Montclair State University. I try to keep the painting moving as a whole, building the layers up one step at a time, the whole process takes about 3 hours and of course I could bring it to a further level of finish but that's not the point.
