Business Man

I'm enjoying the subway drawings and because of my schedule of late the subway seems to be the only chance I get to draw but I feel all that is about to change and next weekend I'm off to L.A for a quick drawing trip so I'll be able to change things up. After all L.A is where it all began. Stay tuned good people of the Earth.

This is a book cover assignment that I finished last night. It makes a difference from all the subway drawings. I'm sure you'll agree.

Sleeper

I woke up on the subway and saw this woman sleeping so deeply I knew she wasn't going to move for a while. That's what a like, someone who stays put. I guess for a little while we were sleeping together. Some guys get all the luck.

Nice Crowd

The last three weeks have been very busy for me, you might have noticed that the bar drawings have dwindeld somewhat. I really do need to get out a bit more, maybe this week.

Not the title of this drawing but that's what we've got in New York, and of course the best place to be on a snow day would be The Old Town Bar. No chance of that for me today, I'm working on a big Yankee Stadium painting for Upper Deck. It's a great day to be indoors.

Presidents Day

which was yesterday, of course, but that's when I did this drawing in Union Square having turned up for work to find the office closed. That is the first time they ever closed for this holiday and apparently I didn't get the memo, but as previously stated ,I did get this drawing. Back to the ruiling pen for this one and I really like the way it makes me draw.

That's a whole lot of drawing. This was a rare oppertunity to draw the same person from two different angles. The first was done with me leaning up against the subway door and then when a seat openend up I got another view of the same bloke. Nice. So there it is 300 up and back to the drawing board,

It's not easy to determine much about people on a subway ride but something about these two made me believe they were sisters, not least, the fact that they were doing it for themselves.

Chumley's

This is another great New York City former speakeasy bar. Currently out of commision because the fire place collapsed and it needs major renovations but this is a great place for a pint. It's hard to find, I like to take first timers through the court yard entrance because you'd never guess there was a bar there at all but once you open the door it's like stepping back in time. Lot's of history here, hope it makes a comeback.

Patriots Fan

I think this is how all Patriots fans feel today.

Super Bowl

here is a very quick sketch of some people watching football in a bar, today is the Super Bowl and one team are going to be "world" Champions of North America because sometimes North America qualifies as being the World. today is one such day. For those of you tuning in from the rest of the world, know that today you have been dominated even if you don,t know why.

Old town Bar

It's Febuary, just like that. No warnings or such, I have to say I didn't see it coming. All we can do is roll with it much like the gentleman in this drawing, take it in your stride with a pint and prepare for March. Won't get fooled again.
