Is that really in New York City? Wow, it does show a richness and depth to the place that one wouldn't expect, until an artist portrayed it like this. Beautiful drawing! (I don't use the word sketch, because to me, it implies hasty, temporary rendering, as only a step toward something else, rather than a work on it's own merits. You've created much more than that. I sometimes think graphite pieces should be called paintings too!)
Thanks Katherine, yes that sketch was based on a photo of old New York, I don't think there is anything like it still standing. There still a few wooden structures kicking about though. The White Horse Tavern Being one.
