I did this yesterday on the train and Angie says it looks nothing like her. It's not a strong likeness but I can see enough of her in it to make me smile.
Hi Stephen, I thought that what you said about finding a enough of a likeness interesting. I've come across people who, for some bizarre reason, think that you've somehow failed if you don't capture a perfect likeness of your subject. It irks me that people think that we are machines that can spit out perfect likenesses like copiers. What if it's a beautiful drawing anyway? What if you having an off day? These things are never taken into consideration. By the way, Great drawing. I also really enjoy your tight but loose subway drawings. Sorry that I haven't left you a message in a while. Talk to you soon.

I don't recognize her without her head buried in a book.
Something wrong with the mouth.
Hans, that's usually when I can catch her.
Larry, nice one.
I knew you would recognize that as a compliment Stephen.
I most certainly did, thanks.
I admit I didn't recognize her immediately.
That's because there's something wrong with the mouth.
And her head isn't buried in a book.
Next drawing the book will cover the mouth and I'll be all set.
