LA

The thing with these LA trips is that I'm basically the designated driver. I drop Angie and Christophe off at a store to shop and I draw until they are done so I never really know weather I'm getting 5 minutes or an hour. It keep me on my toes. I did this and yesterdays post whilst they were in one store and I still had time to try on a jacket that Angie wanted to see me in. I didn't like it and at $2000 it was never going to happen anyway. Angie says I suit deconstruction clothing, maybe because I'm in a state of deconstruction myself. Wow, I seem to have a lot to say this morning.

LA Dudes

Okay, there is not much going on here but I was sat at the bar at the W Hotel on Hollywood Blvd and it's where all the beautiful people hang out. I'm drinking a margarita and making some quick sketches while I'm waiting for Angie and no matter how young and beautiful and starlette-ish the girls where they all started conversations with me just in case I was a "player" It didn't take them long to realize that I'm anything but a "player" but they couldn't take the chance. LA... I could say more but really, do I need to?

Guess Where I Am

There is no cash prize but you do get my undying respect which at the moment is available in three colors, all varying shades of blue.

Cat Repair

They are not talking to me today but I think this version is better.

Cat Damage

I spent yesterday working on this one and made the mistake of leaving a glass of water on my desk next to the painting. This morning I discovered that my cats have made a few alterations to the right hand side. I think they might have a point but I'm going to repaint that area anyway. I insist on my own vision.

I know you have seen this before but i put a little extra work in and this is a good quality scan as opposed to a shot from my digital camera. I always shy from scanning because I have to scan in 6 pieces and join them in photoshop and it's a real tedious process. Anyway here it is in full color for your Friday viewing pleasure. This bar will be jumping tonight.

You can make of that title what you will, my point being that I had to do this in class from memory. I need to spend more time drawing and less time painting ... or maybe not.

Cut to the chase, this is our next home work assignment. I started with a color comp and then put in about three hours last night, In a perfect world I might finish today but then, I ask you, is this a perfect world?
