Here we are after another session, still a ways to go but I took a break from this one to work on the Fanelli's painting. I'm happy when I'm doing the series, long may it last.

Here we are again, I'm making some changes to this one today to deal with the matter of scale. I'm quite excited about the mood with this one, I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Some kind of folk lift truck that was used to load things onto other things, what can I say, it was classified.

So was a beauty, once again, I can't give to the details but I'm enjoying you all filling me in. These jets were used to train pilots and were in full use. whilst this does not come across in the sketch, they were big black and mean looking.

I can't remember what kind of aircraft this was but it was the first drawing I made on a hot desert landing field. I came , I drew, I burned my ass.

Here I am at the first stage of this next bar painting, I'm going to be painting this one at weekend only, I'm working on a few others during the week. I've got to keep the momentum going right now.

Three photo's posted in a row, that's hardly sketches is it? I've got sketches and plenty of them but right now I don't have a scanner to hand but here I am with my fellow Air Force program colleges in front of the plane that holds the speed record for getting from New York to LA in 63 minutes, something like that anyway, I really should pay more attention. We were at Beale Air Force base in California and had a truly great week, I might have mentioned that yesterday, put it down to jet lag. Sketches to follow. Stay tuned good people of the world, I'm almost back to what I've come to consider normal.

MFA Bridge Show

Hey Guys, I'm back again, i just spent the last week at the Beale Air Force base in California, what I great time and I have drawings and photo's to post on that trip. I went without a computer so I wasn't able to post again...excuses excuses. But this should be normal service resuming. Who knows, certainly not me.

I have been absent again, no excuses. This is the start of another bar painting, I'm got two I'm working on at the same time ans I'm laying out a third. I've got 12 of these bar paintings on display currently at FIT, if you are in the New York area and feel like stopping by, please do.

Hope all of you East coasters survived Irene, we got stranded upstate which was not all bad.

Woodstock

This is a weird one, I know, but we are upstate avoiding Irene and very near Bethel Woods which was where Woodstock was actually held. I did this illustration as part of a series of trading cards for Upper Deck a few years back and since it was on my desk top i thought I'd post it today. Dark and gloomy here at the moment but then again, in the words of Dexy's Midnight Runners, "Come on Irene".

Bowling Alley At Rohman's Inn

Rohmans is a great bar in Shohola PA, it has one of only four hand set pin bowling alleys left in the US, Babe Ruth would often hop a freight train and come drink here during prohibition, plenty of good stories about this place. I'm about to start doing preliminary sketches for a painting of this place. stay tuned good people of the world.
