Beale Air Force Base

So was a beauty, once again, I can't give to the details but I'm enjoying you all filling me in. These jets were used to train pilots and were in full use. whilst this does not come across in the sketch, they were big black and mean looking.

I can't remember what kind of aircraft this was but it was the first drawing I made on a hot desert landing field. I came , I drew, I burned my ass.

Here I am at the first stage of this next bar painting, I'm going to be painting this one at weekend only, I'm working on a few others during the week. I've got to keep the momentum going right now.

Air Force Program

Three photo's posted in a row, that's hardly sketches is it? I've got sketches and plenty of them but right now I don't have a scanner to hand but here I am with my fellow Air Force program colleges in front of the plane that holds the speed record for getting from New York to LA in 63 minutes, something like that anyway, I really should pay more attention. We were at Beale Air Force base in California and had a truly great week, I might have mentioned that yesterday, put it down to jet lag. Sketches to follow. MFA Bridge Show

Hey Guys, I'm back again, i just spent the last week at the Beale Air Force base in California, what I great time and I have drawings and photo's to post on that trip. I went without a computer so I wasn't able to post again...excuses excuses. But this should be normal service resuming. Who knows, certainly not me.

Designer Magazine

Woodstock

This is a weird one, I know, but we are upstate avoiding Irene and very near Bethel Woods which was where Woodstock was actually held. I did this illustration as part of a series of trading cards for Upper Deck a few years back and since it was on my desk top i thought I'd post it today. Dark and gloomy here at the moment but then again, in the words of Dexy's Midnight Runners, "Come on Irene".

Bowling Alley At Rohman's Inn

Rohmans is a great bar in Shohola PA, it has one of only four hand set pin bowling alleys left in the US, Babe Ruth would often hop a freight train and come drink here during prohibition, plenty of good stories about this place. I'm about to start doing preliminary sketches for a painting of this place. stay tuned good people of the world.

I'm sat in the back of the car being driven back to New York which was greatly preferable to driving myself, especially in that rain.

Once again I had until Angie and Olga had shopped enough. That's how I roll.

This vintage motorcycle was on display in a clothing store so whilst Angie and Olga were shopping around I drew this really quickly not knowing how long I might have.

I think that's how you spell it. I drew this yesterday whilst waiting for Angie and our friend Olga to be done at a flea market. It's Olga's car, she drove us home yesterday because we had to leave our car upstate to be fixed, weird rainy weekend.

Sam

This is a drawing of Sam, I caught him yesterday whilst he saw playing some computer game, always a good time to draw someone. Sam is back in Scotland now and tomorrow I'll be back in Brooklyn. Life resumes I'm sad to say.

I'm Back Again

I'm upstate New York currently and whilst I've been drawing I've not been blogging, I'm getting very sporadic on account of.......I don't know.
Anyway here is Katie, who when she is not playing her game boy device, likes to draw, in this case a monkey. I opted for a 2B pencil and Katie went for crayons. I will post again tomorrow. Say it out load, "I'm back and I'm proud".
