Caught in the Act

After 3 years of subway drawing I finally got yelled at by a subject. I can't really tell you what he said but I won't be taking his advice.

Dozer 2

this was the first sketch of Scott's dozer. I would have posted it first but it is bigger than my scanner bed and I had to scan it in two sections and join it in photoshop, just couldn't get my head around it at the weekend. I do love static objects when it comes to drawing.

Car

This was a crime of opportunity, I always have a sketch book on me, the small moleskine that I use mostly for subway drawings, after walking Angie to the subway yesterday morning I stopped for coffee and did this quick sketch while I was waiting. Things were going well untill I looked up and the car was gone.

The View from Franklin Park

Franklin Park is a fantastic new bar that just openend up in Crown Heights. I've waited long for such a place, 12 draught beers, good ones too, and a garden which is primed for summer evenings. If you live in Crown Heights you must run, not walk to this new hotspot. If you don't live in the area you should check it out anyway. It's on St Johns at Franklin Ave, what are you waiting for? Opening hours, I guess.

Study

This is a pencil study of Robert Coke, his name is all that I know about him. He doesn't know anything abut me as far as I know but then as I've already mentioned I know nothing about him so I'm just assuming he knows nothing about me. Now I'm worried.

Odd Couple

The guy maintained this startled expression while she casualy flipped through a magazine. Ether she just told him she was pregnant or that his mother inlaw is moving in. Who knows? He could not have looked more stressed and she could not have looked calmer.
